Hotel Modelo was founded in 1,892 as an Inn, and in 1,912 the property was aquired by don Fidel Miralbés who established Hotel Modelo. Since then, the Miralbés family keeps the doors to their home open to welcome the visitor of Quetzaltenango and make them feel at home away from home.
